- Is using my credit card to order safe?
Yes, we utilize secure data encryption. We encrypt the information when you enter your credit card info and transfer it to our cart database.
When we retrieve your credit card number, the information is decrypted. The card numbers are stripped out of any e-mail messages that are sent to you or us, which can only be retrieved by us through an encrypted browser session.
- If the order form is secure, why doesn't' the "pad lock" show up on my browser?
The reason you don't see the pad lock icon is because the site uses "frames" to display the content.
Secure sites are intentionally set up this way. Each frame must be "secure" for the padlock to show up.
However, be assured, the order form frame is secure and is submitted to a secure URL. When you select
your method of payment you are directed (in the frame) to this URL: https://www.cartserver.com/sc/checkout.cgi.
Notice that it has a "s" after http. This denotes the security certificate that is passed from the server
to the browser, and if this page were displayed without frames, a pad lock would appear in the browser
window. You can try this yourself by "right" clicking on one of the payment methods and selecting "open
in new browser" (or "new window"). Once the checkout screen is displayed, you will see the "pad lock"
appear in your browser.
- I am still not comfortable with online shopping, can I fax or mail an order?
Sure, just shop normally, adding items to your shopping cart. When you have made all of your choices, simply proceed to
checkout where you will be given the choice of printing your order for faxing or mail. Using this method insures that we
get all the information we need to process your order quickly and accurately.
- What credit cards do you accept?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
- Can I pay for my International order by check?
Yes, but check must be drawn on a US bank in US funds. See your local banker for more help.
- How long will it take to get my order?
U.S. orders are shipped via UPS Ground. If you prefer, we can also ship via the U.S. Postal Service.
In either case, it typically takes up to 7 business days for a domestic order to arrive at your mailbox.
International orders are sent by Global Priority Mail, but can take significantly longer. Arrangements
can also be made for Next Day, Second Day, and Third Day delivery, usually by UPS. Please call us at

- Do you sell our addresses to any direct mail service?
No. Our mailing list has always been private and will always be private. Same with email addresses.

- What is your preferred payment method?
VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover work best for both U.S. and International orders.

Sorry, we can't accept them. Please use your credit card, or send a check drawn on a US bank in US funds.
- What is your return policy?
We will accept returns of books only within 10 days of receipt. Sorry, videos and art prints are not
returnable, unless they are damaged. Books must be in like new, re-saleable condition. Please call

- I own a bookstore, can I place wholesale orders online?
